Deviock Community Trust

Deviock Community Trust (DCT) was formed in 2023 from a Parish Council initiative to progress community housing projects in Deviock Parish. 

Our mission is to create sustainable, affordable homes that meet the needs of local residents, while protecting and enhancing community assets. The Trust is currently on track to deliver over twenty community homes that will provide rental accommodation in the heart of Downderry for local people forever.

As a Community Land Trust, our goal is to purchase and manage land and amenity buildings to protect them and the facilities and services they provide for the benefit of residents and visitors alike. We believe that by keeping land and assets under community control, we can ensure they remain accessible and beneficial for future generations.

Coombe Park – Community Homes

Having provided affordable housing in Downderry for nearly 40 years, the buildings at Coombe Park are now reaching the end of their lifespan and cannot be upgraded to meet modern energy-efficiency standards. Deviock Community Trust has reached an agreement with the landowners to purchase Coombe Park and redevelop it to provide high-quality, eco-friendly, sustainable local homes.
